This 1966 issue of The Beloit Poetry Journal predates Bann's extensive international poetry anthology - and indeed predates most of the important anthologies of the time - and as such provides an early contextualization and editorial position. Bann's guest editing allows the reader to see the formation of early concrete poetry canonization.
