Sasha Frere-Jones is a writer and musician. With the band Ui, Frere-Jones released five albums, including Lifelike (1998) and Answers (2002). Staff writer and pop critic for The New Yorker since 2004, Frere-Jones will be an Artist In Residence at Park Avenue Armory during 2014. Frere-Jones is the co-founder of arts collective BATAN, and his critical writing has been compiled in various books. He no longer has a dog.
